Join the Health Communication Capacity Collaborative (HC3) on Tuesday, June 9 at 11am EDT for a webinar on innovative health communication apps and their uses. This webinar is the ninth in HC3’s innovation webinar series, which highlights and examines cutting-edge applications of digital technology to advance global health.

Panelists include:

  • Edward Likovich, CEO of GoodLux Technology, the company that invented and produces SunSprite, a digital health engagement solution for depression treatment. This tool measures and analyzes bright light to manage energy, mood, and depression, maximizing treatment adherence.
  • Josh Nesbit, CEO of Medic Mobile, a nonprofit organization that builds mobile and web tools for health workers, clinics, and families in hard-to-reach communities. These tools help over 9,000 health workers provide care for 5 million people in Africa, Asia, and Latin America.
  • Michael Catalano, electronic money ecosystem and mobile transactions specialist with over 25 years of global experience in wireless technology, mobile systems integration, and emerging payment applications. Mike will be talking about innovative uses of WhatsApp during the Ebola outbreak as part of the eCAP solution in Liberia.
  • Dr. Pat Basu, a Board Certified Physician, Chief Medical Officer of Doctor on Demand. The app allows video visits for physicians, psychologists and lactation consultants for patients at home.
