India Learning Forum: How Can SBCC Capacity Be Strengthened?

April 5, 2016 @ 2:30 pm - 4:30 pm

There is limited space to attend in-person in New Delhi. To reserve a spot, please email Sanjeeta Agnihotri at sagnihotri@jhuccp.in.

What?
An expert panel will look at Capacity Strengthening for SBCC in a face-to-face forum in New Delhi that will also be broadcast simultaneously as a webinar.

Why? SBCC capacity strengthening as a concept, and tools/ ideas available, for it, have not been discussed by the SBCC community as a specific topic. It will be an opportunity to learn about the latest developments and thinking in health communication capacity strengthening and the tools available in the context of that.

This will be an opportunity to introduce the HC CS Ecosystem Model and discuss the available tools in the context of that.

Here is the session outline:

  • Welcome and Introduction of Speakers by a Springboard India Steering Committee Member (TBD)
  • Reflecting on Principles of SBCC Capacity Strengthening by Dr. Benjamin V. Lozare, Director of Training and Capacity Building, Johns Hopkins Center for Communication Programs
  • Introducing the Capacity Strengthening Ecosystem Model by Uttara Bharath Kumar, Director of Capacity Implementation, HC3
  • Why Access to Virtual Capacity Strengthening Resources is Important for India by Dr. Supten Sarbhadhikari, Director of the National Health Portal, India
  • Introduction to Online Capacity Strengthening Resources, Tools and Courses by Susan Liebtag, Communications Specialist, HC3, and Uttara Bharath Kumar, Director of Capacity Implementation, HC3
  • Questions and Discussion
  • Wrap-Up and Thanks/Closing by a Springboard India Steering Committee Member (TBD)
