Upcoming Webinars: What Works for Urban Youth
The Health Communication Capacity Collaborative (HC3) will hold an online forum Nov. 6 at 8:30 a.m. (EST) to discuss using social behavior change communication (SBCC) to affect positive change in sexual and reproductive health among urban youth around the globe.
This online discussion will contribute to the development of an electronic toolkit that will distill best practices and guide implementers in reaching urban youth worldwide through informed, evidence-based sexual and reproductive health (SRH) SBCC interventions. We want to hear what you’ve done, what you’ve seen work, and what you think remains to be done – and how we can accomplish or replicate these things together moving forward.
The forum will take place online via Adobe Connect.
A similar online forum will be held in French on Nov. 5 at 9:00 a.m. EST.
Sexual and reproductive health (SRH) program actors and implementers working with or interested in reaching out to urban youth can discuss and reflect on the current state of SRH SBCC activities targeting urban youth. Whether you currently incorporate SBCC methods into your projects, or intend on doing so in the future, please join us for one or both of these events.
The webinars will define key concepts, introduce findings from a recent literature review of urban youth SBCC interventions, and explore questions about what’s working, and what remains to be done to maximize successes in urban youth SRH. Participants will have the chance to engage in discussion with youth representatives about their work with urban youth, as well as share their own thoughts about what works.
