HC3 is evaluating the Tanzania Leadership in Strategic Communication training conducted in eight regions and 52 districts of Tanzania. The evaluation will examine whether campaigns implemented by district teams that participated in the training followed the strategic approach taught, and evaluate the added impact of mentoring provided to eight of the district teams.

HC3 conducted a cross-sectional survey among men and women to evaluate exposure to multiple family planning SBCC campaigns and associate with family planning use. HC3 is also conducting a mixed methods assessment on adolescent voluntary medical male circumcision (VMMC) in Tanzania, South Africa and Zimbabwe.

In our work with the UN Commission on Life Saving Commodities for Women and Children (UNCoLSC), HC3 is increasing the capacity of local organizations to design and implement evidence-based health communication strategies to increase demand for underutilized reproductive, maternal, newborn and child health (RMNCH). Using the Demand Generation Implementation Kit for Underutilized Commodities in RMNCH (available in English and French), the team has provided catalytic funds to implementing partners in Bangladesh, Nepal, Madagascar and Tanzania, supported by specialized virtual and in-personal technical assistance.
