Health Communication Innovation Webinar 2: Research Methodologies
Join us September 10 at 11 AM EDT for our second Health Communication Innovation Webinar. This installment will highlight innovative research methodologies and be moderated by Dr. Garrett Mehl, Scientist with the World Health Organization (WHO) Reproductive Health and Research Department.
Presentations and interactive discussion will give insight into the design, development and evaluation of Health Communication interventions and the creative methodologies that aim to improve their effectiveness.
Panelists include:
- Maria Elena Figueroa, Associate Scientist in the Department of Health, Behavior and Society at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health (JHSPH) where she teaches a graduate seminar on Health Communication. She is also the Director of the Global Program on Water and Hygiene, and Director of the Research and Evaluation Division at CCP.
- Alexandra Bornkessel, Digital Strategist and Project Manager, RTI International, serves as the strategic arm across a number of public health initiatives in leveraging social and mobile technologies to inspire behavior change and online advocacy efforts. She is also an adjunct professor teaching Health Promotion and Social Media at American University.
- Dr. John Parrish-Sprowl, PhD, currently serves as the Co-Director of the Global Health Communication Center (GHCC) of the Indiana University School of Liberal Arts. A well-published author, he recently contributed a chapter on applied research and globalization to the Handbook of Applied Communication Research.
