July 21, 2014 @ 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm

HC3 is supporting a USAID-PEPFAR Satellite at AIDS 2014

Key Programmatic Challenges of the Acceleration of VMMC for HIV Prevention: Cost, Demand Creation, Efficiencies and Quality of Services

Policymakers and program planners accelerating scale-up of VMMC are looking to improve efficiency, maintain or improve quality of services, create demand for services and provide timely level of supply to match existing demand, and achieve the maximum impact for the least cost. The presentations at this session will highlight key findings from several countries that have moved to high volume VMMC services, explore challenges we still face, and offer recommendations for programs as they accelerate scale-up of VMMC services in their countries. Updated models to help individual country VMMC programs become even more effective and efficient will also be shared. The panel will close with an emphasis on demand creation for VMMC services and new research being undertaken to explore the quality of in-service communication with adolescent VMMC clients.
