Join the Health Communication Capacity Collaborative (HC3), led by the Johns Hopkins Center for Communication Programs (CCP), on Thursday, November 10 from 9 – 1 PM for an interactive learning event to catalyze dialogue around the role of social and behavior change communication (SBCC) during public health emergencies, and explore its power to create resilient communities and health systems.
The event will take place at the Ronald Reagan Building, 1300 Pennsylvania Avenue, Washington, DC 20004. Breakfast and lunch will be provided.
HC3 will present a new framework of SBCC in public health emergencies based on its experience in the Ebola and Zika outbreaks, and facilitate a panel discussion with experts from humanitarian and SBCC partners. Following the panel, participants will be invited to reflect on the framework through participatory dialogue and provide feedback based on their own experiences that will be used to inform the finalization of the Framework.
This event is the first in a three-part series to be held in the Washington DC area in 2016-2017, where HC3 will convene diverse experts to catalyze learning around SBCC in three important topics that cut across multiple health areas:
- Catalyzing SBCC in public health emergencies
- Catalyzing SBCC for health systems sustainability and impact
- Catalyzing SBCC along the continuum of care
Speakers will be announced shortly.
