Richard Delate, Managing Director at Johns Hopkins Health and Education in South Africa, has over 17 years of experience working in HIV and AIDS and strategic health communication. He has overseen the development and implementation of nationally and internationally acclaimed strategic communication campaigns that combine mass media, social networking, community mobilization and advocacy aimed at curbing new HIV infections, promoting care and support and treatment in South Africa, such as Brothers for life, 4Play: Sex Tips for Girls, Scrutinize and Intersexions.
Dr. Kriss Barker, Vice President for International Programs at Population Media Center, has assisted production teams throughout the world to develop entertainment-education serial dramas. She has trained numerous media and health communication professionals in the Sabido methodology for behavior change communication using the mass media; and oversees management of PMC programs in over 25 countries worldwide. She also lectures on social change scriptwriting at the University of Cape Town, in South Africa.
