Youth leaders celebrate completing their first workshops at Red Cross in Nairobi, Kenya, where they trained as YOURS facilitators to peer-educate youngsters in their communities on road safety.

On September 5, 2014 the first HC3 University Initiative Webinar was conducted on Health Communication Pedagogy.  “Health Communication in the Curriculum” webinar focused on how different types of university programs incorporate health communication into their curriculum, including how they provide practicum opportunities for students. Three different university models (health training institute, school of communication and school of public health) were discussed, and our panelists described how they approach the challenge of preparing students as scholars and professionals in this field.

Dr. Doug Storey, Director for Communication Science and Research at the Johns Hopkins Center for Communication Programs, was the moderator.
