Have you ever heard of the dreaded Wongi virus?
It’s likely you haven’t – unless you were part of training activities conducted by the Health Communication Capacity Collaborative (HC3) with Tanzania’s Ministry of Health (MOH). HC3 led the MOH through disease outbreak simulations of this fictional virus as well as a cholera outbreak scenario. This was all part of a larger effort to strengthen Tanzania’s capacity around risk communication.
