For four days in May 2016, more than 40 experts in SBCC and Social Marketing -representing 11 local NGOs from Africa, Asia and South America, INGOs and donors – gathered together in Washington, D.C., to explore the following two questions:
- What factors are most likely to enable the success and sustainability of local SBCC and social marketing organizations?
- How can local NGOs, INGOs and donors work together most effectively to assure the success and sustainability of local NGOs working in the field of SBCC and social marketing?
HC3 has compiled the findings and recommendations from those rich and dynamic discussions into a guidance document: “Enabling the Success and Sustainability of Local SBCC and Social Marketing NGOs.”
We hope that this guidance will serve to spark conversation among local NGOs themselves and between NGOs and the INGOs and donors who wish to support their success.
